$40

2018 Tumbarumba Chardonnay, Tumbarumba, NSW

Chardonnay, the greatest white wine in the world.

Tasting Notes

The Tumbarumba Chardonnay is fermented entirely in Stainless steel. The wine displays citrus and grapefruit characters in spades. The palate is vibrant with an explosion of grapefruit and white peaches and has a fine backbone of acidity which keeps the wine fresh and crunchy.

Food & Serving Suggestions

This style of chardonnay lends itself to classic pairings. Oysters perhaps being the most obvious one but any light seafood would pair perfectly with this wine.

Vineyard Information

The fruit is grown on the Maragle vineyard in the southern corner of Tumbarumba. The vineyard lies at 450m / asl on light decomposed granite soils.

Winemaking

The fruit was hand picked and lightly pressed to stainless steel foil fermentation. The wine then matured in this vessel for 10 months on gross lees prior to bottling.
